The Hex Archive

The Hex was initiated in November 2006 by Maria Zahle and Jason Dungan.  It began with a series of solo shows in a flat on the Pembury Estate, Hackney.  The last show in the flat was in 2008.  Since then, the Hex has collaborated with artists for shows in other spaces, and there have been screenings and other projects based in a range of locations.

Single Works
We have asked four artists to make a work which will be housed semi-permanently in the flat at 27 Sandgate House.  They are Anthony Faroux, Sara Knowland, Vanessa Billy, and Paul Richards.  Anthony Faroux's work has been installed and is available to be seen by appointment.

Hex Colony
From 9 July to 3 October 2010, we will be setting up a temporary colony for a group of artists, based in the UK and Europe.  This will take place in a farmhouse near Sodra Unnaryd village, Sweden.
